Dr. Juan Wei is a Tenure-Track Associate Professor and Principal Investigator at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. She received her B.S. degree from Wuhan University and earned her Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Peter O’Connor at the University of Warwick, UK. Prior to joining Shanghai Jiao Tong University, she worked as a Research Scientist at the Center for Biomedical Mass Spectrometry, Boston University, USA. Dr. Wei’s research focuses on the development of high-resolution mass spectrometry-based methodologies for deep glycosylation analysis, with particular interests in accurate glycan structural characterization and ultrasensitive glycosylation analysis of low-input samples. Her group has developed several innovative platforms for N-glycomics, O-glycomics, and glycoprotein characterization, enabling glycosylation analysis from rare cells, trace clinical specimens, and highly glycosylated biotherapeutics. She has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals, including Nature Communications, Analytical Chemistry, and Chemical Science.
