Professor Guo is currently a Professor at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the head of Natural/Marine Biomedical Materials Group at Ningbo Cixi Institute of Biomedical Engineering. His current research interests include, but are not limited to medicinal biological chemistry and food chemistry, and especially involve the development of a variety of chemical-biology and bio-affinity based LC-MS strategies for the quick screening of bioactive small molecules against various drug targets from natural medicines in the context of targeted new drug discovery and development. To date, he has published over 140 SCI articles with some highly cited ones, and ranked among the Top 2% of Scientists in the WORLD since 2022. He has been acting as PIs for over 30 national or key provincial scientific projects in the past 10 years. He has also been invited to serve as Guest Editor or Youth Editorial Board Member for at least seven international renowned journals, such as Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis (SCI), Food Frontiers (ESCI) Chinese Medicines (SCI), Journal of Analysis and Testing (EI, ESCI); Phytochemical Analysis (SCI), Current Analytical Chemistry (SCI), Phytochemical Analysis (SCI), Frontiers in Nutrition (SCI), etc. In addition, he has delivered over 60 keynote or invited talks at various international/national conferences in the past decade.
