Liqin Zhang

Liqin Zhang, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor and Principal Investigator at Peking University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Deputy Director of the Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis. He received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Florida and completed postdoctoral training at Stanford University School of Medicine. Before joining Peking University in 2021, he was a Senior Scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific. His research focuses on functional nucleic acids and pharmaceutical analysis, particularly the molecular evolution of aptamers for drug-target detection, functional modulation, and target discovery. He is a recipient of the NSFC Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Overseas) and the NSFC Young Scientists Fund (Category A), as well as the JPA Prize Young Scientist Award. His work has been published in Nature Biomedical Engineering, Chem, Journal of the American Chemical Society, and other leading journals.
