Haiyan Xie

Peking University

Dr Haiyan Xie is one of the Boyang Distinguished Professors at Peking University. She is a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and the Excellent Young Scientists Fund. She was selected for the Ministry of Education's "New Century Excellent Talents Support Program", Beijing's "Outstanding Talents Funding Program", and Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC). She has consecutively led 15 research projects, including key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation's Major Programs and sub-projects of the National Basic Research Program (973 Program). She has published 120 SCI-indexed papers in journals such as Nat. Biomed. Eng., Sci. Adv., and Cell Rep. Med. She holds 16 national invention patents, of which 2 have been authorized and transferred to industry—one of which has already entered mass production. She has received one provincial/ministerial First Prize in Natural Sciences and one Special Prize in Technological Invention. She also serves as a Council Member of the Chinese Society for Biomaterials, Vice Chair of the Biosensing, Biochip and Nanobiotechnology (BBN) Division of the Chinese Society of Biotechnology, and Vice Chair of the Analytical Pharmacy Division of the China Association for Instrumental Analysis, among other concurrent academic positions.
