Dr. Shao obtained his BSc, MSc from Wuhan University in 1983 and 1986, and PhD in 1991 from University of Edinburgh. After a few terms of postdoc fellow in Edinburgh, Pittsburgh and CUNY, he returned to work as a research professor at Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry of CAS in 1998. He moved to Peking University as a professor in 2002. Last year he moved to Wuhan Textile University and work as a professor at School of Biomedical Engineering and Health. His research focus is on electrochemistry at soft interfaces, electrochemical sensing and electrocatalysis, and has published more than 170 peer-reviewed papers. He is a fellow of CCS and a Life fellow of RSA.
